About Wipro Mission 10x

wipro

Engineering graduates are the most sought after byIndustry. However, there is a need for enhanced employability competencies among these graduates. Mission10X Learning Approach (MxLA) is a new teaching-learning paradigm that helps an Engineer enhance his/her employability competencies.

MxLA is aimed at promoting systemic changes to current teaching-learning paradigm in Higher Education. It emphasizes learner-centric educational discourse. MxLA will thus help graduates imbibe higher levels of understanding of a subject taught in classrooms along with development of key behavioral skills.

Mission10X-non Profit Trust created by Wipro is taking forward this Mission in collaboration with Academia to enhance Graduate Engineer’s employability significantly.

Faculty Material Development

To enable faculty members to better understand and practice innovative teaching techniques and motivating them for bringing the Innovation in engineering education in India , Mission10X has developed various resource materials. The faculty members are also trained to develop faculty guides in their respective engineering disciplines through various workshops. Each faculty therefore gets benefited from the resource pool generated by the fellow Mission10Xians in addition to their own creation, which they can use while conducting their sessions.

Learner Centric Teaching

A learner centric teaching facilitates students learning to higher levels. In this mode of teaching the faculty takes up the role of a mentor, guide, coach, and a facilitator for learning. This helps:

    • Develop oral communication skills among the students
    • Stimulate critical thinking and helps students clarify idea through discussions
    • Use a team approach to problem solving while maintaining individual accountability
    • Promote a positive attitude towards the subject matter
    • Build self responsibility for learning among students
    • Foster and develop interpersonal relationships
    • Build self esteem in students
    • Simulate real life situations
    • Promote Student-Faculty interaction and familiarity
    • Mission10X Certification Programs

Mission10X Certification Programs enable college faculty with new and alternate training methodologies that provides input to a faculty to become a mentor, guide and a facilitator in the class and thus prepare their students to become more employable. On completion of these programs, the participants are provided with various resource kits and certificates like Cambridge Certification for teachers, MxLA Certificate and certificate from Dale Carengie's international institute.
